The new kiln line 8 of Märker Zement GmbH in Harburg is in place and went in operation in May 2022. In the run-up to this major Märker project, Kottmann GmbH took over the civil engineering support, the concept planning for the connection of the new plant to the existing plant and the preparation of the building permit. We were also contracted with the object and structural design of the entire concrete structure of the process buildings of the new kiln line 8 as well as the buildings and conveyor systems for RDF. In addition, we were responsible for verifications on the old stock in the course of conversions and for special assembly conditions and carried out construction supervision.
On July 13, 2022, we will provide insights into the construction engineering features of this major project during the visit of Prof. Dr. Alisa Machner and her students from the Technical University of Munich to the Harburg plant.
