Cement production becomes "green"
As part of the LEILAC2 project, a demonstration plant is being built for the first time that can capture 20 percent of the CO2 process emissions of a regular clinker kiln, thus improving the carbon footprint of cement production.
The new carbon dioxide capture technology will be integrated in the Hanover cement plant of HeidelbergCement AG.
In this context, Kottmann GmbH was contracted for some preliminary planning and structural design of the Leilac Tower including its foundation on a very restricted construction site.
