      In the course of the modernization of the cement plant in Schelklingen of HeidelbergCement AG, Kottmann GmbH received the order for the complete steel construction planning for the new kiln line.<\/p>\n

      All the work was carried out during ongoing plant operation adjacent to the existing kiln. The execution and workshop planning of the steel structures had to take into account special intermediate assembly conditions for this.<\/p>\n

      The support concept of the preheater tower with 4 corner supports specified by the plant design required exceptionally large beam heights and special measures in the shop detailing with regard to possible zinc bath sizes for the hot-dip galvanized finish.
      The design was carried out for execution class EXC3 of DIN EN 1090-2.
