      Directly on the coast in the east of the island of Java, Holcim Lafarge built a new cement plant with 2 production lines and its own pier. Kottmann GmbH was commissioned with the design of the process structures of the kiln line and the grinding plants in steel and reinforced concrete structure. The foundation of some structures was carried out by large-diameter concrete drilled piles.
      The challenge was the very high seismic acitivities that had to be taken into account for the calculation. For this, we developed a project-specific design guideline in cooperation with a building dynamics specialist.
      We provided the peer review for the large-capacity silos.
